Spending a lot of money has nothing to do with being able to decorate your abode in a classy, attractive manner. With a bit of effort, you can discover a wide range of decoration ideas, which are visually pleasing and easy on the pocket too.

In the present discourse, we take a look at a few such budget decoration tips. Inability, or unwillingness, to really splurge on expensive interior decoration items should never come in the way of your desire to reside in an aesthetically pleasing house. With the sheer volume of inexpensive yet classy home decor pieces expanding rapidly, you have ample scope to showcase your creative side – by buying the ones that would best reflect your tastes.

Irrespective of whether you are choosing window curtains, or purchasing digital landscape photography – the only thing you need to keep in mind is that, all such decorative items should blend well with the overall mood and styles of the rooms. In what follows, we will highlight some attractive, money-saving decoration ideas:

Arrange trays

You can buy a few designer plastic trays, and neatly arrange items of everyday use (perfume bottles, combs, timepieces, etc.) on them. That would speak a great deal about your overall penchant for neatness. If a mirror at your home has become damaged, you can simply remove the glass from it, and use its reverse side as a tray!

Photo frames

A home with a personal touch always looks charming – and how better to do it, than having snaps of your family members at different locations in your house? Beautifully designed blank frames can also add to the elegance of your living room.

Wall decorations

Empty walls invariably look just a touch bland. That, however, does not mean that you need to spend big bucks on bejewelled wall hangings. You can buy cheap canvas prints online, which can be hung on the walls of your living room. Looking for something for your bedroom walls? Go for some beach scenes on canvas – and experience seaside magic as you drop off to sleep!

Keep your kitchen supplies well-organized

Many homeowners, in their zeal to make their drawing rooms the most attractive ever, forget to deck up the cooking areas of their houses. If left unattended to for long, kitchens can start sporting a really messy and unhygienic appearance. Set up durable cabinets and countertops, and have transparent glass canisters to store your kitchen supplies. Label the canisters with markers, according to the item they are containing.

Grow home plants in beautiful pots

Have a few nice and healthy indoor plants, and freshen up the air without the aid of electricity! Plants like Anthuria, Calathea and Hoya can add to the visual aspects of your rooms as well. Don’t forget to choose elegantly designed pots for these plants!

Set up bookshelves and racks

Okay, you love reading books. Does that mean that your living room has to necessarily remain cluttered with the books you are reading? Certainly not! Set up classy wooden bookshelves on the walls, which would provide a heady mix of style and usability. Storage solutions can also be made a whole lot smarter by having racks, chests and wall cabinets. Frames with personalized canvas art themes can be put in the spaces between the racks and cabinets.

Have beautiful table lamps

Designer lamps can make your rooms look elegant and attractive, apart from, of course, providing the necessary amount of light. If you like to experiment with your home decor, you can also use empty glass jugs as makeshift bulbs. If your budget so permits, you can also go for accent lighting in your rooms.

While buying furniture for your house, find out if any yard sales are happening in your locality, from where you can pick up stylishly designed, good-quality second-hand items. If you happen to live in Australia, you can look up on the web for exquisite canvas wall art in Australia too. There are lots of ways in which you can decorate your home on a tight budget – you only need to do a bit of research to find out about them!

Having a steady cash flow for ready use is one of the most important things for one and all. This can be particularly important for businesses that are looking to expand or even entrepreneurs who are looking to set up new businesses. Even though asset based loans can be the most ideal option to seal such a deal, it is important to form a model of manner in which the borrower is supposed to function in long-term loan circumstances.

Asset based loans

Assets based loans are generally opted for by institutions that are in dire need of money in order to sponsor their short term goals. The best thing that an SME owner can do while planning to opt for an asset based loan or asset based lending facility is to ensure that he or she can demonstrate the ongoing sources and uses of the funds that are being loaned. Ability to understand the annual inventory turns and day’s sales will significantly impact any organisation’s ability to source and obtain the right asset based loan facility.

There are certain factors to be considered while monetising the current and fixed assets into the cash flow so that you are able to procure it whenever you are in need of it.

Factoring asset based loans

Asset based loans and factoring can be seen as two different instruments of chance on the business market. When business opportunities arise in the market, experienced businessmen are well aware that such opportunities may disappear way before they are truly able to raise the capital necessary to fetch such an opportunity. Usually, securing a long-term loan comes accompanied with an extensive waiting period, causing the procurement to be delayed. This is where the opportunity for factoring and asset based loans lies. The basic advantage for start-ups or small businesses is that they can obtain more cash through asset based lending, sometimes even faster than they would have done with regular loans obtained from the typical lending institutions like banks.

While obtaining such a loan you should focus on assets that are able to generate cash for you in hours of your need. The added advantage of opting for asset based loans is that the rate of the loan is negotiable, which can well be an added advantage for the borrower. That is why the borrower needs to make sure that he or she provides a reliable background of his financial transactions so that the lender agrees to pay the amount at an affordable rate. This can necessarily mean that you enjoy enough cushions while the lender goes through all the details.

The regular sequence while securing the cash flow through asset management includes a number of steps. First of all, it is necessary to produce an invoice or bill for the services or products that the company has been distributing over the years. After estimation is completed, the factor presents a quoted percentage of cash advance.

Conclusion

At the end it can be said that it is important that the person asking for asset loans has a clear idea of what he wants and a clear record while he opts for such loans. Ensuring all these could mean that there is no roadblock on their way to receiving payments when needed.

Magazines are dynamic and fun, and they’ve had a long tradition of appealing to just about everyone. Magazines provide us with current, thought-provoking, fun, trendy, and informational content. With the rise of the Internet, magazine subscriptions are threatened by the availability of similar content online for free, just like newspapers. But people still love magazines, and rather than stop subscribing altogether, people are faced with a new dilemma: online or in print?

The Physical Appeal

Something that online magazines will never offer is the gratification of holding them in-hand and turning their glossy pages. For some, the physical appeal of a print magazine is what keeps them from switching to online-only magazine reading. When you receive a magazine in your mailbox, it’s much more exciting and rewarding than receiving an email in your inbox. Print magazines can travel with you anywhere. Their pages can be dog-eared, torn out, or made into collages in a unique way that online magazines can’t offer.

Advantages of Online

There are some advantages to online magazines. One of the great things about online magazines is the ability to search them to find the content you want instantly, without flipping through pages. All of your magazines will be available in one place, where you can bookmark, add notes, and collect the issues without taking up any extra room on your bookshelf. When you spend a lot of time on the computer, it may be more appealing for you to access your favorite magazine’s content online, such as on your tablet or ereader while on-the-go. Oftentimes magazines offer exclusive content that’s only available online.

Community Interaction

One of the cool things about online magazines is they often offer you the ability to connect with other readers from all over the world. There may be forums and comment sections that allow you to share your thoughts, ask questions, and engage with other people who have similar interests. This type of community interaction can also help you discover other great online content that relates to the specific niche you’re reading about. In this way online magazines can help you forge new friendships or engage in some healthy debate, too.

The Best of Both Worlds

Most mainstream magazines offer free online subscriptions to their print subscribers. If you prefer print magazines, you can still access online versions whenever digital reading is more convenient. Access to online versions is a great perk for print subscribers. Sometimes magazines offer online editions for free for everyone. Other times magazines offer online subscriptions at a discounted price, which can help make magazine subscription possible for many people who may not have previously had room in their budgets for a print edition.

If you have to choose between print or online, it will depend on your lifestyle and personal preferences. For some people, nothing can replace the physical appeal of a magazine. For others, online editions are more convenient. And if you can’t choose, you can always check out both!

Payday loans are one of the most expensive forms of loans and lenders are more than willing to offer because of the returns they do acclaim. This definitely sends an alarm to the borrower who should thoroughly do his homework well before opting for a payday loan. There are five things you need to consider before getting a payday loan and are discussed here below.

Terms and conditions

It is professional to always understand the details of the contract you are appending your signature on because thereafter you are bound by those terms and conditions. Asking for clarity costs nothing compared to repercussions that comes with failure to do so. This will ensure that

any kind of hidden scam or changes are uncovered and both parties are at the same pace of operation and understanding.

Other options available

As mentioned earlier, a payday loan is a bit expensive and thus other sources which are relatively cheaper ought to be sought first before landing finally to the payday loan which off course is

easier to get but commits your next immediate income. Depending on the reason why you are opting for the loan, research intensively on other personal loans whose terms are definitely better than those of a payday loan.

The lenders

Some payday loan providers are self-centered and may in many occasions over charge the interest rates. An ideal and practical rate charged on any payday loan should by no any means exceed 20 % of the total loan being borrowed. The cost of servicing the loan should also be taken into account as some lenders fail to voluntarily convey these details thus unnecessary increasing the costs to the innocent uninformed client. Investigate also the legal operations of the lender so as to make sure the deal you are striking is legal and can lawfully be enforced in a state court of law could things get sour. Again it is normally presumed that good deals come from legally reputable businesses.

Repayments

The penalties of failing to meet the payday loans are severe and this calls for the need on the side of the borrower to ascertain that come the due date, he shall be having the cash to repay. Early arrangements should be instituted to ensure compliance is 100%. People opt to take other personal loans to finance a due payday loan but from the professional point of view this is more harming than and may cause psychological problems including self-guilty and resentment.

Prerequisites

Like any other lending business, there are statutory requirements that need to be met by the borrower. For example, the borrower needs to be of age and besides be working with a reliable pay slip as evidence for the employed. He must be a holder of a national indent card and of sound mind that no way by any means he can be manipulated. A word of caution is given that since most of the lenders are accessible online, verification of their authenticity is crucial to ensure your confidential information is safe.

Welcome to a bright new world of banking: There are few aspects of day-to-day banking which cannot be monitored, maintained or activated online these days. As a customer, you can, for example, open up a brand new account, close an unwanted one, or upgrade to take advantage of special offers and promotions. Once online access to a bank account is in place a customer can apply for a loan, manage stocks and shares and investment portfolios or even make international payments. Household bills can be paid, direct debits for utilities and services can be set-up, amended and cancelled, and money can be transferred into and out of accounts. Another feature most online banks offer is the ability to order stationery including cheque books online. In short: Online banking has replaced an outdated system of slow processes, long queues, unfavourable opening hours and unhelpful managers. To be more precise, it has changed banking into a pleasant, entirely contemporary experience.

Time-saving

The biggest convenience of online banking is the freedom to take care of banking, bill-paying or money-transferring when it suits you, even the middle of the night or on a public holiday weekend. Many people work very long hours, or have no ready access to their branch in the hours that the branches are open. In this scenario it can be a struggle to pop into the bank to manage whatever aspect of your finances that needs attention; instead, it may take you a few days to arrange your schedule; by which time deadlines could be missed, penalties incurred and default charges put onto their agreements with other companies. Being able to manage financial affairs in one’s own time is the biggest plus of online banking, enabling customers to stay on top while not having to sacrifice precious work or leisure time. In fact, it has become so entirely self-evident that we’re finding it hard to believe we ever put up with anything else – or less for that matter.

Eco-friendly

A minor benefit, but significant in its way, is the option to go ‘paper-free’ with online banking. This represents not only a financial saving – many banks now charge for posted paper statements – but also a saving to the environment – due to the effective elimination of posted paper statements – an increasingly important concern to the public. If, at the end of the day, online accounts can put an end to the high energy consumption of many branch offices, frequently lighted in a pompous and inefficient way, then this, too, can mark an important step in the right direction.

Cost Effective

Many banks reward customers who bank online, some with a financial incentive, others offering discounts and promotional offers on insurances and mobile phone contracts and even restaurants. Services that may be charged over the counter in a bank are very much cheaper or even free through their online service, as less personnel is required to service the online functions.

New, even more contemporary accounts are also putting an end to the disorienting cost structure of many conventional online accounts. Referred to as guaranteed accounts, they are offering transparent fees and a simple, monthly fee. They also come with the additional benefit of protecting customers from dangerous overdraft fees. Managed through an easy online interface, a guaranteed account isn’t just the perfect companion for all of your financial plans – it is your true gateway to a bright new world of banking.

Let’s face it: In today’s world it doesn’t take a genius to realise that you simply need to have a bank account. Whether you’d like to make cheap online purchases, receive your pay direct deposit, or find a simple way to pay the bills, life can be hell without a solid financial platform. Sure, you can do most of these things with a prepaid debit card, but some companies require you to have a bank account tied to your debit card so that they can further verify your identity. If you have a large amount of money, or are trying to save up, having a bank account can be a much safer and secure alternative than holding on to the money yourself. If you are running a company or business of any size, too, a bank account is almost essential for smooth operation. Despite all of these great benefits, if you are not careful, you could be susceptible to the many hidden dangers of choosing the wrong bank account.

Choosing the Right Bank

The first and possibly most important decision you will make that will help protect you from the hidden dangers of choosing the wrong bank account is going with an accredited trustworthy financial institution. Here are some things to consider while in search of your ideal bank:

What kind of fees are they charging? Don’t allow yourself to be reeled in by catchy slogans and irresistible limited time offers alone. Read the small print and do research to compare the rates and services of different banks to see which one meets your specific needs.

It is also important to make sure you choose a well known and reputable bank. Questions you should ask yourself in this regard are: How many clients do they have? How many years have they been in business? Is the bank operating from a foreign country? Some countries do not have efficient systems of regulating financial practices. If you are banking in places like these, you may be making yourself easy prey to the hidden dangers of choosing the wrong account.

Choosing the Right Account Type

There are five types of accounts typically offered by most banks:

Savings accounts

Basic checking accounts

Interest-bearing checking accounts

Money market deposit accounts

Certificates of deposit

The one that is best for you will depend on what your financial goals are. For example, if you only wish to deposit money and make a limited number of withdrawals each month you should opt for a savings account rather than a checking account. This way you can avoid paying unnecessary fees for services that you do not even use. Another essential part of protecting yourself is to make sure you fully understand the terms and conditions of your account. What are the charges for making an ATM withdrawal, for example? How much will you be penalized if you bounce a check? What about overdraft fees? It is fees like these that are among the most threatening hidden dangers of the wrong bank account.

One way to avoid these secret costs mostly mentioned in the fine print only, is to opt for a guaranteed online account. These new types of account offer account holders the safety of knowing that they can’t exceed their financial means, a wealth of sensible budget support facilities as well as a transparent cost structure without the typical traps built into most conventional accounts. Although a guaranteed account will charge you a monthly fee, you’ll find that you’re cheaper of with many of these accounts in the end.

If these suggestions have made you think twice before selecting your bank account, then they’ve already served their purpose. Living without a bank account may be all but impossible. But it doesn’t take a genius to tell that living with the wrong one is even worse.

This article was written in association with eccount money, a leading UK service provider of a bank accounts for bad credit .

William Masters lives and works in London as a widely respected finance journalist and economic adviser. Masters has created a distinct niche for himself by digging into the positive and negative aspects of the rise of prepaid- and currency-cards, the digital evolution – and revolution – of the global banking market as well the ongoing changes in finance culture.

Many people have a very difficult time with this sentence. It becomes so easy to get into habits that we think are the only way when really, there are a wide range of options before us; you just have to do a bit of research and educate yourself. Thinking out of the box is hard when you’ve lived inside the same box for some time.

Know Your Unnecessary Expenses

One of the main reasons people feel as though they cannot afford to save money is because they do not realize just how much they are spending on things that they don’t need to spend a penny on. Now, the problem is; you do not want to completely cut out everything that you don’t need because we all need to have fun here and there but taking note and recognizing how much you are spending that isn’t necessary is important. You want to take how much you earn in a normal month, minus all your bills that are for sure and then see how much you have left over. Decide on an amount that you want to be allowed to spend and how much you want to save. Many decide on a weekly allowance so they can do something fun each month like see a movie or go out to eat; even if it’s small, a break is necessary or you are going to feel as though you don’t have a life and no one wants to work for what feels like nothing.

Spend vs Save

Next time you find yourself wanting to get an extra coffee one day or take your friends out for a fun night, consider how much you are going to be spending. Once in a while, try taking that money and instead of spending it, find a cheaper way to have fun and put the left over amount into your savings account. You’ll be surprised just how quickly this is all going to add up. Even if you can cut back a few bucks a week, that is going to allow you to use that money for bills or save it for something more important.

There’s No Such Thing as ‘Too Little’

While you may not think a dollar or even ten dollars makes a difference, you are wrong and you need to work on changing your way of thinking. For example; saving $10 a week would be $40 a month. In a year’s time, you are going to have $480 and that’s not even including the interest. So, nothing is ‘too small’ when it comes to saving money. Every penny counts!

Give Yourself a Break

We cannot stress this enough; don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s only human to slip up. Sometimes you are going to go over your budget, bills may be late; you may get late fees etc but don’t focus on those moments. Recognize the mistake and move on because if you get caught up too long, this could affect you from saving more because you’ll feel there’s ‘no fix’ when there always is.

George Smith-Davies is a financial advisor and tries helping people with monetary issues. He says that contents insurance is one such thing with which you can secure yourself from the uncertainties of the future. To know more about contents insurance, you can follow him on twitter.

Five years on from the start of the global economic crisis – or “the day the world changed”, according to Adam Applegarth, the former boss of Northern Rock – what lessons have investors learned? Here are 10 things every investor should have taken from the events of recent years if this economic cloud is to have a silver lining.

1. Think bad

If we should have learned one thing, it is that things that have never happened before will occur, and often with some regularity. Whatever adverse scenario you can contemplate, reality can be far worse.

2. Proportion

When excesses such as lax lending standards become widespread, the crisis they trigger will be in proportion to the degree of the excesses. Correlations between asset classes may be confidently predicted to be high as leverage rapidly unwinds.

3. Risk

Investment experts SunGard APT argue that risk management has never been more central to the investment industry. Increasingly investors understand that consideration of risk must never play second fiddle to the possibility of greater returns.

The latest market risk management analysis tools are crucial for the conservative positioning that can enable investors to enter a crisis with long-term-oriented, clear thinking in place that will enable them to focus on new opportunities while others are forced to sell.

4. Hedges

Portfolio hedges must be in place well before the slightest whiff of a crisis. It is just not possible to effectively increase or replace hedges that are rolling off once the crisis has hit.

5. Uncertainty

Uncertainty and risk are not the same thing. During the heightened uncertainty of the fall of 2008 securities plummeted to low prices but, as a direct result, often became less risky as investments.

6. Short term

Never accept principal risk as part and parcel of investing short-term cash. Those few bonus basis points of yield bring with them greater risk, which actually increases the chance of losses and a damaging illiquidity that may result in missing out on less risky, longer-term investments.

7. Broad

Particularly during a crisis, investors need to adopt a broad and flexible approach. Opportunities can be fleeting and may be dispersed through many sectors and markets.

8. Down

Always buy on the way down when there is far more volume and far less competition.

9. Innovation

Financial innovations, tempting as they are, can be a great risk. Launched when the sun shines, they have often not had adequate stress testing to bear the brunt of truly stormy weather. Take securitisation as an example and bear it in mind before you believe the hype.

10. Leverage

Never treat leverage with a pinch of salt. The liabilities on anything you borrow should always be match funded against the duration of your assets. Even if you are unleveraged, the leverage employed by others can lead to sudden, severe price and valuation changes and the unavailability of leverage can kick-start economic slumps.

Implementing the lessons

To effectively implement investment lessons, a disciplined, sometimes contrary, long-term-oriented approach must be adopted. A focus on risk aversion rather than maximising immediate returns is needed, as is an understanding of history, a strong sense of how financial market cycles operate and the patience of a saint. Many investors still need to school themselves five years on.

There are a few key points to remember if you wish to register a company in Cyprus. These are mostly associated with understanding the processes involved in the distribution of the share capital, the maintenance of records, the filing of financial statements, and sufficient knowledge on tax calculations. Below is a brief explanation on how these works for your convenience.

Shareholder Guidelines

The minimum requirement for companies that does not wish to establish an office in the country is a share capital is €1,708 and the types of shares distributed to shareholders can be classified as follow:

redeemable shares

preference shares

par value shares

shares with no voting rights but do earn dividends

All of these shares have to be expressed in Euro, unless the company was given license to operate in Cyprus prior to its membership to the European Union. Moreover, the amount of stamp duty to be based will be calculated according to the authorized share capital listed in their article of incorporation.

Tax Calculations for Company in Cyprus

This is a complicated matter that is hard to discern overnight. You will certainly require the assistance of a professional accountant that can lay down the taxes you are to pay to the Cyprus government. Some of the matters that have to be attended by your hired accountant are the capital gains, the dividend, the corporate tax, and the double tax treaties. This will be a bulk of work for someone outside the realm of your company; it is therefore important to include a regular accountant in handling these matters in your midst.

Exchange Control Policy

The authority figure in terms of Exchange Control in Cyprus is the Central Bank. It has power to approve non-residents who wish to become one of your shareholders. It also authorizes the transfer of shares for Cyprus Offshore company. All other financial concerns like business integrity, credit worthiness, and financial character of the beneficial owners are also provided by the Central Bank; it is therefore necessary for any company to maintain a harmonious relationship with them.

Maintenance of Company Records and Financial Statement Concerns

The Cypriot Government understands that simplicity and convenience is one of the reasons many companies invested in their region. Aside from this, the non-necessity of companies to maintain company records gives them another reason to smile about. Nevertheless, the accounting records of the company have to be audited, and filed each year to the Central Bank of Cyprus. It has to be prepared early on and to save you from unwanted financial hassles with the government; you should start selecting a corporate firm that has the best lawyers and accountants to back-you up with the needed records every time it has to be filed. Otherwise, be prepared to pay fines for any late filing and irregularities on your records.

Additional Elements to Consider Before Registering a Company in Cyprus

Preparing for the above-mentioned documents prior to establishing a company in Cyprus is already a tough one to do alone. This is the reason why the Government of Cyprus specified the need for a licensed Cypriot Lawyer to administer the filing of application for registration by any company in the region. This guarantees all Cypriot companies will be well oriented with the rules practiced by the land and the consequences they need to face if they will ever violate these rules. Moreover, it makes the task of the Register of Companies easier because the documents are formatted in a manner specified by Cyprus law.

International laws and guidelines in reference to company formation in Cyprus are simpler in comparison to other countries. Nevertheless, it would only be the case if you have the assistance of an experience corporate and legal firm by your side. Make it work for your business and consider Cyprus company formation today.

Mark Acosta is a diligent entrepreneur. He enjoys sharing his thoughts on matters pertaining to company formation in Cyprus and believes Cyprus is the ideal destination for anyone who wishes to establish an Offshore Company for their business growth.

It is a true sign of both love and generosity when you care enough about someone to want to share your wealth with them. However, once done, some things are not that easy to undo. Before you go setting up trust funds for the people you care about, you should be aware of the benefits and drawbacks.

The Double-Edge Sword

Once you set up a trust fund for someone else, that money no longer belongs to you, it belongs to the recipient. This is a positive and a negative. The upside is that if for some unforeseen reason you should run into trouble, that money is protected from creditors and your loved one will still get his or her inheritance. The downside is that everything you do with the trust fund has to be in the best interest of the beneficiary and legally speaking, you can’t claim that money as your own any longer.

Is He or She Ready?

There have been numerous studies about “silver spoon” adults who grew up with the knowledge that they had a huge trust fund coming and would never have to work. Many cases do not turn out well. People have to endure strife in order to grow and evolve. As a parent you may want to make sure that your child is well taken care of, but you have to ask yourself if you’re doing that child more harm or good by giving him or her a huge amount of money before he or she is ready to handle it. This is the reason that many people put stipulations on trust funds. An 18 year old who has barely finished high school may never learn to value achievement if they have no incentive to accomplish anything. On the other hand, a thirty year old who has been out in the world is much more likely to appreciate the gift.

Don’t Forget the IRS

From a tax standpoint, trust funds are taxed at much higher rate than income. As of 2012, a person has to earn $388,350 before they reach the 35% tax percentile. By comparison, the same person living off a trust fund only has to have an annual income of $11,650. If you are providing for your grandchildren, the generation skipping tax could apply as well. Before you set-up any trust fund, speaking to a qualified financial advisor about the best way to do it so that your loved one doesn’t get hit with a huge tax burden.

Setting up a trust fund for someone you love is not a bad thing. However, like all of life’s best investments, it has to be approached with some planning. Every person is unique and every situation is different. Think about not only what you are trying to accomplish by setting up a trust fund for someone else, but also how it will affect the person whose well being you are trying to provide for.
